Abstract
The central axis of this paper is to present a study associated with the transformations experienced by rural families and the labor market changes, emphasizing the current role of women in the textile and clothing industry in the municipality of Tepetitla de Lardizábal, Tlaxcala
In the context of neoliberal globalization there is a redirection and decantation
of women to the labor market in rural areas, thus highlighting: a) the need for
the incorporation of more domestic group members in the search for income,
b) multiplication of women working hours, c) unfair and unequal work practices
in and out of home, and d) increased tension between members of the household
at the time of the decision making process related to women working
outside the home.
